It sounds outrageously gorgeous and fun from the outside with it’s 4-pot pops, bangs, and blips. It always puts a smile on my face when I see and hear one, and the owners all look like they have a smile on their faces.

I like em a lot. I keep seeing them pop up at decent pricing (holy depreciation Batman. I laugh when I see my local dealership offering them new for 29k and they can be had a year old for 21k). My concern and what everyone seems to mention is build quality. Coming from a mid2000’s Chrysler, how bad could it be in comparison?

I’m moving in with that friend in a couple months, it’d be hilarious if we had a 500 abarth and a 124.

From what Ive heard, initial quality reports arent all that great but I havent heard anything bad about the major mechanical components having issues.

I recently learned the proper pronunciation of Abarth. I’ve been saying it like a hillbilly. I haven’t had the opportunity to drive one yet, but somehow I know I would love it.

I had a Fiat of the same era. Build quality was up and down. Some parts were absolutely terrible (like hey lets put a wiring harness under the cowl with no protection at all) and some were decent. For example most of the interior was solid with no rattles, but after 70k miles the seat had badly torn and all the foam collapsed.

I love the sound, looks, terrier like handling...but man, the seating position just doesn’t get along with me.

LOVE these things! Then again, I love even the normal 500 - I’m a “slow car fast” kindof guy, so even though I’d love to have an Abarth, I’d be just as happy with a 500 Sport or a 500 Turbo! :)

I’m pretty fond of them as well, particularly the campovolo grey one sat outside my house! :)
